About Us

The Meander Hostel brand was established in Taiwan in 2013, when there were only a handful of licensed hostels in Taipei. Since then, it has redefined the hostel landscape by balancing fair pricing with modern and clean design, sociable atmosphere, and unbeatable locations.

Both Meander Taipei Hostel and Meander 1948 share the same values. Our emphasis on stylish and comfortable design is a breakthrough from the past generation of squeaky metal bunk beds. In addition, we take an active role in organizing events and local excursions to facilitate mingling amongst our guests. Through personal interactions, our friendly and knowledgeable staff strive to be your first friend in Taiwan. Furthermore, our award-winning properties are located in prime city centers with significant historical context. Regardless of whether you are traveling solo, or with friends and families, our diverse room types will cater to your needs.
