Weather: The rainy season is ending. Early October still brings the odd afternoon shower, but the month dries out into some of the year's most comfortable weather — days around 30–32°C, pleasant evenings. Keep a light poncho for the first half.

Transit: Grab and Xanh SM cover the city. Add 15–20 minutes to any trip during the 5–7 PM rush.

Food: Street food peaks after 6 PM — Ben Thanh night market, the Bui Vien strip, and District 5 for Chinese-Vietnamese classics.

Payments: Restaurants take cards; street stalls and markets are cash or QR (Momo/VietQR).

Where to stay: District 1, in the middle of the flowers and the party

For the Bui Vien nightlife, easy rides to the Ho Thi Ky flower market, and the whole District 1 core, MEANDER Saigon puts you 10–15 minutes on foot from Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ben Thanh Market. It also has a three-story slide inside the hostel, the only one in Saigon.
