Scale

The ITF Taiwan International Travel Fair has run for about 30 years and is one of the largest consumer travel fairs in Asia. It draws around 350,000 visitors over four days. Tourism boards, airlines, hotels and travel agencies from Taiwan and around the world all set up under one roof.

What it brings to you

Show-only deals on flights, hotel stays, tour packages and theme-park tickets, many of them sold only during the fair.

Country and regional pavilions with cultural performances, local snacks and destination giveaways.

A "Discover Taiwan" section full of domestic travel ideas, useful if you plan to explore beyond Taipei.

What this means

For Taiwanese travelers, ITF is the big shopping event for next year's trips. Locals queue for flash sales and leave with bags of brochures and freebies. For visitors, it is a fun, energetic window into how Taiwan travels, and a chance to pick up good deals for the rest of your trip in Taiwan.

Notes & Tips

Buy presale tickets online. They are cheaper and you skip the on-site queue.

Saturday and Sunday are the most crowded. Monday, November 9 is noticeably calmer.

Same-day re-entry is allowed with your ticket stub and the entry stamp.

The best flash deals sell out in the first hour, so arrive at opening if you are hunting a specific offer.

2. Taipei International Wine & Spirits Festival

Date: November 13–16, 2026 (Fri–Mon), 11:00–19:00. Closes at 18:00 on the final day.

Price:

On-site regular ticket: NT$200

Concession: NT$100 for seniors aged 65–69 and visitors with disabilities plus one companion

Free for seniors over 70 and children under 12

Location: Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2. Use MRT Nangang Exhibition Center Station, the same stop as ITF.

Scale

Taiwan's largest wine and spirits exhibition, with 200+ exhibitors and around 60,000 visitors each year. It is organized by Chan Chao and supported by the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism.

What it brings to you

Four zones: Wine, Sake, Whisky & Spirits, and Beer. You can taste your way from Bordeaux to Islay to Niigata in one afternoon.

Masterclasses, tasting sessions and a guest bartender program.

Bottles to buy at show prices, plus bar tools and accessories.

A good chance to try Taiwanese whisky (Taiwan's single malts have won top international awards) next to Japanese sake and shochu.

What this means

Taipei has one of Asia's most knowledgeable drinking cultures. Taiwan is among the world's biggest markets for single malt Scotch, and the city's cocktail bars rank regularly on Asia's 50 Best Bars. This festival is where that culture goes public, and it is a fun, relaxed day out even if you are not an expert.

Notes & Tips

Dress code: slippers and flip-flops are not allowed in.

Eat before you go and pace your tastings. Most booths pour small samples, but they add up.

Don't drink and drive. The MRT stops right at the hall.

The 13–16 dates overlap with Ultra Taiwan on Saturday the 14th. Do wine on Friday or Sunday and keep Saturday for Ultra.

3. Ultra Taiwan 2026: One Day, Two Stages, on the River

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026.

Price: Via ultrataiwan.com. Early Bird went on sale in July. GA, VIP and VVIP tables are released in tiers, so prices rise as each tier sells out.

Location: Dajia Riverside Park (大佳河濱公園), Zhongshan District, an open-air site on the Keelung River with views of the Taipei skyline.

Scale

The sixth edition of Ultra Taiwan, part of the global Ultra Music Festival network that started in Miami. It draws around 50,000 people and is one of the biggest single-day electronic music events in Taiwan.

What it brings to you

A Main Stage with headline EDM acts and Ultra's signature stage production.

A RESISTANCE Stage for the underground side: techno and house.

A full day-into-night party on the riverbank, with the city lit up behind the stage.

What this means

Ultra is a global brand, and Taipei is one of its few Asian stops. For travelers, it is a chance to experience a world-class festival in a compact, safe and very walkable city, then wake up the next day for beef noodles and hot springs.

Notes & Tips

Watch Ultra Taiwan's channels for the lineup and buy before the next price tier.

November nights by the river get cool and breezy (around 18°C), so bring a light layer for after sunset.

After the show, MRT lines get crowded. Walk 10–15 minutes before boarding, or share a taxi.

General tips for Taipei in November

test

Weather: Autumn proper, about 18–24°C and mostly dry and clear, with occasional drizzle from the northeast monsoon. Pack a light jacket.

Transit: An EasyCard covers the MRT, buses, YouBikes and 7-Elevens. Both ITF and the Wine & Spirits Festival are at Nangang Exhibition Center Station, directly on the Blue Line from Ximen and Taipei Main Station.

Seasonal bonus: Yangmingshan's silver grass is at its best in November, an easy half-day trip from the city by bus.

Food: Cool nights are made for night markets: Raohe (the locals' favorite), Shilin (the famous one) and Ningxia (smaller, traditional).

Book early: ITF weekend (Nov 6–9) and the Wine + Ultra weekend (Nov 13–16) pull in visitors from all over Taiwan, so central Taipei rooms go fast.
